From the first steps to planning, we help with budgets, timing, and logistics of your project. This is also the stage where we identify possible risks and challenges and offer solutions for them. We have access to a lot of modern tools that, depending on project needs, can help realize your vision and allow us the flexibility to create your piece to the best possible quality.
Each project is guided by the management team, from production detail, approval images, shipping and final images, and archival information. Certain projects require installation kits, which we offer. This documentation often proves highly beneficial to the life of the work.
We monitor the quality of each step in the production and execution phase as well as the logistics between suppliers, shipping, and installation. We are an extension of the artist’s studio and all of this is done with the constant communication of the artist making sure they are as much a part of the process as if this were their own collaborative space.
We offer comprehensive crating and shipping services designed to protect the surface and structure of each individual artwork. Our custom crates are built by experienced art handlers using the best practices of galleries and museums. Once the crates are complete, we work with our trusted vendors and affiliates around the world to ensure the safe arrival of your project.
Some pieces require a complex installation process. Before the production of artwork begins, our team begins considering the final installation of the piece.
Our investment in this careful planning process makes installation as smooth as possible and informs the production of each work. If on-site installation assistance is needed, we are available to coordinate with the site and its team.
Certain projects also require installation kits, which we offer in the form of photo/video and written instructions. This documentation often proves highly beneficial to the life of the work.
“It is humbling to travel the world and stumble across projects we have produced and installed.”-Tom Bollinger, Owner
We offer a library of patinas and surface treatments to our artists, and many of these become personalized to the artist’s vision. From traditional chemical patinas to colorful dyes and pigments, to gold leaf, our finishing options will give you a broader pallet to use for expressing your creativity.
Let our artisan’s breadth of knowledge and experience help express your idea and sculpture!
In most cultures around the world, the practice of enhancing metals by the utilization of color has been observed for centuries and we use that knowledge with modern developments to find the perfect melding of color and form. It is the job of the patina artist to accelerate and manipulate this naturally occurring oxidation process by coaxing colors out of the metal in a dance of flame and chemical application.
The final stages of a project are critical. The finish is always a product of how well all the previous processes are done, and we strive to nail the artist’s vision in this final stage.
Take a look at the variety of patinas we offer as inspiration points. Our artisans will work with you to create something uniquely yours that helps frame and make your piece the focus of any space.
