Born in Winnipeg Canada, Wayne Littlejohn earned his BFA (Honours) at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg Canada. He continued his education by traveling through Asia, then moving to Nevada in 1994 to participate in the MFA program at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Wayne is a professor in the Fine Arts Department at the College of Southern Nevada.
Wayne’s work investigates the interaction of light, space, material, and mass. His personal work explores elements of sculptural abstraction; yet the artist also has collaborated with designers, fabricators, and industrial engineers to create and install large-scale representational works based on European prototypes.
